COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols:
1. All persons in the State of Hawaii shall wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when in public.
2. We are also practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet or 2 meters.
3. All persons entering the State of Hawai‘i shall submit to Hawaii’s Travel Rules as outlined in our 5 STEPS TO TRAVEL TO HAWAII* procedures below.
To enter the State of Hawaii

- STEP 1 – Setup a State of Hawaii Safe Travels account
- STEP 2 – Get an approved test for COVID-19 No more than 72 hours before the departure of your flight to Hawaii, get tested for COVID-19 by an approved Hawaii testing partner. Upload the results to your State of Hawaii Safe Travels account at travel.hawaii.gov and take a screenshot of the QR code that will be generated. NOTE: If you have more than one flight, test no more than 72 hours before the departure time of your final connecting flight. You must have your negative COVID-19 test results from a trusted testing partner prior to departure for the State of Hawaii. If your test results are not available before boarding the final leg of the trip, you must quarantine for 10 days or the length of the stay, whichever is shorter, even if the result is negative.
- STEP 3 – Arrive in Hawaii and present your results When you land in Hawaii, show your test results along with the QR code created by your State of Hawaii Safe Travels account.
To enter the Island of Hawaii
STEP 4 – Take a second COVID-19 screening test at the airport (If you are vaccinated, be prepared to show your CDC vaccine card at the Safe Travels checkpoint. Vaccinated travelers may be exempt from the second COVID-19 screening test at the airport)
Upon arrival at the airport on the Island of Hawaii, you will pass the State of Hawaii Safe Travels test checkpoint then may be required to take a second County of Hawaii COVID-19 screening test at the airport. This second test is paid for by the County of Hawaii and is performed while you wait. When you receive your negative result, you will be free to leave the airport. In case of a positive test, you will be retested and referred to the State of Hawaii Department of Health.

STEP 5 – Validate your status at the hotel The State of Hawaii requires we validate your quarantine status using the Safe Travels QR code and an associated valid picture ID for all travelers required to undergo pre-travel testing.
Age policy:
1. No charge for children under 18 occupying the same room as an adult and using existing beds in rooms. If an extra bed/rollaway is needed, please directly request it at the front desk and pay at your own cost. Some hotels may not offer an extra bed/rollaway service. (Additional charge will be added for children (2 years to 18 years old) when participating in VIP Top Floor category, due to cost of additional amenities.)
2. The minimum-age requirement to reserve a hotel room is 18 years old. The hotel requires that all minors must have at least one adult accompanying them in the same room.
Booking notice:
1. The rates are for single and double occupancy. Additional person above double occupancy will be charged. Maximum occupancy is four (4) passengers with existing bedding.
2. Additional person above double occupancy will be charged, regardless whether a rollaway bed is used or not; child play pens are provided at no charge. Rollaway beds and child play pens are subject to availability and must be requested at time of confirmation.
3. Bedding can be requested at the time of reservation, and we will send the requests to the hotel to accommodate all requests; however, hotel bedding cannot be guaranteed.
4. There is a mandatory security deposit taken at check in by either credit card or via a cash deposit. All unused amounts of the deposit will be refunded on departure. Please note that the credit card used to pay deposits must be presented at the time of check-in with proof of ID (both photographic and signature).
Attention:
1. When booking, you must register the correct number of guests and their ages. Any unregistered guests will bear the relevant legal responsibilities.
2. All guests arriving before 4:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. Our Guest Services Department can arrange to check baggage for those guests arriving prior to Hotel's check-in time when rooms are not yet available.
3. Bedding can be requested at the time of reservation, and we will send the requests to the hotel to accommodate all requests; however, hotel bedding cannot be guaranteed.
4. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas.
5. Some hotel services may not be available or may be limited during your visit. The following services and amenities are available, but with reduced service: Business Center, Fitness Center, Breakfast, Golf, On-site Restaurant(s), Pool, Room Service, Spa, Valet Parking.
Parking:
1. Self parking $37 per day.
2. This charge will be billed directly to all guests daily, all rates are subject to change without notice.
Cancellation Policy:
1. To be fully refunded, a notice of cancellation must be received via email at info@koolaniholiday.com at least seven days prior to the check-in date. Any cancellations made within seven days will be charged the full rate.
2. A 8% service fee is withheld for any canceled reservation paid by credit card.
3. No-shows will incur full charges—no refunds.
4. Some special dates (such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) may have different cancellation policies. Please follow our staff’s notice of cancellation policy.
5. Cancellation policies may vary depending on the hotel of your reservation. Please refer to your reservation confirmation to verify your cancellation policy.
Disclaimer:
1. Reservation confirmation: Our customer service will confirm the booking after you place a reservation. If your selected date is sold out, you are allowed to change the travel date for free or choose a full refund.
2. Personal reasons for being late or not showing will incur full charges—no refunds.
3. Hotel room bookings are non-transferable. Please be sure to provide the same name as printed on your ID that will be used for hotel check-in. Otherwise, the guest will bear the relevant consequences.
