Ohana Surf Project Waikiki Hotel Pickup + Two Hour Private Lesson

Join the Ohana Surf Project for an unforgettable private surfing lesson! With multilingual and professional surfing instructors, guests of all nationalities, ages, and skill levels will receive the personalized instruction they need to ride the legendary waves of Waikiki. Lessons take place at Publics, a comfortable spot with smaller swells that is perfect for beginners. The 2-hour private lessons allow students more assistance and opportunities to catch waves. All lessons start with a short introduction to ocean safety, and instructors are trained in emergency procedures (CPR, lifeguard, and first aid). As all equipment is provided, all you need to bring is a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes!

Join professional surfing coaches and guides in experiencing the ocean and surf in a fun and safe environment. In addition to surfing lessons, the Ohana Surf Project also offers stand up paddle boarding and body boarding lessons as well. Guests can rent boards outside of class time for additional time with the waves.

Itinerary

- Meet the surfing course staff at the designated time and place (9 am / 12 pm / 3 pm reference time). This can be at the Queens Surf Beach (2699 Kalakaua Avenue) or at one of five pickup locations.

- Two-hour private lesson. After a short ocean safety lesson and practicing on land, grab your surfboard and jump into the warm water! Your instructor will give you the push you need to surf the waves of Waikiki.

- After the lesson, the minibus will take the guests back to the original pick-up place

Note: Gratuities are the main source of income for drivers. If you believe that service is good, please let the driver know via gratuities. Local customs suggest gratuity should not be less than $3 US dollars / person / day / time.

Age Policy:

1. The minimum age of participation is 5 years old. Children 5-12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

2. Children (ages 13-17) may participate in group lessons unaccompanied, but a parent or guardian must sign a waiver form online or in person prior to the lesson. 

Booking Notice:

1. This product is a group lesson.

2. The minimum age for participation in group courses is 13 years old

3. Instructors can speak English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and provide basic surf instruction in multiple languages.

Disclaimer:

1. Reservation confirmation: Our customer service will confirm the booking after you place the order. If your selected date is sold out, you are allowed to change the travel date for free or choose a full refund. 

2. Personal reasons for being late or not showing will incur full charges—no refunds.

3. The itinerary may be subject to change or suspended due to weather, strikes, festivals, safety, etc., please refer to the actual arrangements.

4. We are not responsible for any personal safety and property safety that may result from your departure from the middle of the tour.

5. The scenic spots may be subject to close due to weather, festivals or other human reasons, please refer to those arrangements.

6. HTS has the right to make strategic adjustments to the prices of products and services within a reasonable range without notice. Changes in product prices will not be refunded. 

Cancellation Policy:

1. To be fully refunded/unavailable, a notice of cancellation must be at least 7 days prior to the check-in date. Any cancellations made within 7 days will be charged the full rate unless the customer service tells you different policy in a written way.

2. A 8% service fee is withheld for any canceled reservation paid by credit card.

3. No-shows or late for pick up will incur full charges—no refunds.

4. Some special dates (such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) may have different cancellation policies. Please follow our staff’s notice of cancellation policy.

5. Guests forfeit their tickets and payment if they are not present at the agreed time and place of meeting.

Note: To cancel or modify the order, please contact customer service from Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm HST. Please note that Hawaii statutory holidays are observed.

The fee covers:

- 2-hours surfing lesson experience

- Surfing equipment: reef shoes, surfboard, long-sleeved surf shirt, and life jackets

- Hotel pick-up

The fee does not cover:

- Gratuity

- Photo packages
